We are the sisters of the Kappa Pi Chapter of Phi Mu, the second oldest women's fraternity in the nation, founded in 1852. The Faithful Sisters of Phi Mu stand for Love, Honor, and Truth. Our bond of sisterhood makes us stronger as a group and as individuals. We invite you to look around our website and see what we mean! 

 

Chapter News

Initiation!
On Saturday November 10, 2012 the Kappa Pi chapter initiated 43 new girls into our lovely bond of Phi Mu. We are so proud of our new girls! Every lady that we took on bid day was initiated and has become wonderful new sister! Congratulations to pledge class 2012 :) Also a big sisterly shout out to Phi Director Ashley Parker for teaching and guiding all the lovely phi's throughout their phi period! (read more)
BID DAY!
Phi Mu-Kappa Pi is happy to announce that on September 9, 2012 we added 43 amazing new Phis to our chapter! We had an outstanding recruitment and we are so in love with all of the new girls. We can't wait to see them grow to cherish Phi Mu like we do! (read more)
I left out one very important award...
Phi Mu-Kappa Pi is proud to announce that they also won the best award of the night, that definitely shows off all their hard work that they did this year...SORORITY OF THE YEAR! A big thank you to all the sisters for it was definitely a team effort to win this award. But a huge shout out needs to go to Kayla Chaffin (Current President), Brittany Fletcher (2010-2011 President), Lesley Worsham (Chapter Advisor), 2011-2012 Executive Council and 2010-2011 Executive Council. Greek Awards Banquet 2012 Recognition:
The 2012 Greek Awards Banquet was more then a success. Kappa Pi joined the many of the other sororities and fraternities for food, fun, and of course awards. I am proud to announce that our chapter was very honored to receive the plethora of awards that we did! We have been working hard all semester and it finally paid off. Here are some of the awards that we racked up on last night: -2nd Place Relay for Life -2nd Place Overall Greek Week -Most Talented Greek: Morgan Sherfield -Most Studious Greek: Catt Cavin -Most Likely to be Successful Greek: Paige Watson -4.0 GPA with 30 Hours or More: Catt Cavin -Less Then 30 Hours 4.0 GPA: Peyton Caldwell and Kellie Price -Highest Greek Life Chapter Average: 3.264 -Outstanding Chapter Programming Award -Chapter Advisor of the Year Award: Lesley Worsham -Greek Member of they Year Award: Jessica Hyder -5 Star Chapter. Greek God 2012
The sisters of Kappa Pi are very pleased to say our Greek God 2012 philanthropy week was a huge success! Our Philanthropy Chair Samantha Cassetty did a wonderful job of organizing 2 great events: a BBQ night and the Greek God Pageant! From both events and balloon pin ups, we raised $4,700. From coke tab collection we collected enough for 266 cancer treatment for the children at the Vanderbilt Children's Hospital in Nashville, TN! We want to say a huge thank you to Samantha for all her hard work, a congratulations to the men of Kappa Sigma for being overall winners, and to all the other Fraternity boys who took the time out to make this event wonderful! Queen of Hearts Winners!
The ladies of Phi Mu-Kappa Pi participated this week in Sigma Phi Epsilon "Queen of Hearts" philanthropy. We had such a blast raising money for two organizations, local Teens Need Training (TNT) and the National Youth Aids Foundation. With all the hard-work, money, baking, poem-reading, lip-singing and squirt gun shooting put into this week we ended up winning 1st place OVERALL! TEKE Week Winners!
The ladies of Phi Mu-Kappa Pi participated in Tau Kappa Epsilon philanthropy "TEKE Week" this week at Tennessee Tech. All of us had a great time raising money for St. Judes Children Hospital! We ended up winning first place in the "Rockin' for St. Judes" air band night and 1st Place OVERALL winners! We had such a blast and we are so glad we could help TKE raise over 4,000 for the hospital! Good Job Ladies! (read more)

Phi Mu's are sooo smart.
Phi Mu-Kappa Pi is proud to announce that we made first in grades over all the other sororities on Tennessee Tech's campus. Although it was very close GPA between each sorority, we are extremely proud that our have been sisters working hard to earn this accomplishment. Keep up the good work ladies! (read more)

Step Show Winners!
The sisters of Kappa Pi are proud to be the 2011 Campus Wide Step Show Champions. Step Show is an annual event hosted by the brothers of Alpha Phi Alpha. Our sisters worked hard all semester and we are so excited to have won! (read more)
Homecoming Champs!
Kappa Pi recently paired with the gentlemen of Sigma Alpha Epsilon to compete in Tech Toons Homecoming. Together, the chapter won and placed in many events and became the Homecoming Champions, placing first in overall competition! Homecoming queen for the second year in a row!
Congratulations to Katie Pierce for winning the title of Tennessee Tech Homecoming Queen 2010! Katie is from Winchester, Tennessee and was Phi Mu Kappa Pi Vice President. Katie is the second Phi Mu in a row to win Homecoming Queen! She was also a member of the TTU dance team. (read more)
