Vandy Valentines

Vandy Valentines was started by our alumna member and former philanthropy chair, Calista Vinson, in 2019 to honor her friend, Hailey Taylor, who passed away from a glioblastoma after being treated at a CMN Hospital. Calista wanted to make Valentines day extra special for all of the patients being treated at CMN Hospitals. She collected valentines, crayons, and coloring books from our chapter members, families, alumnae, and other greek life organizations, then distributed them to every single CMN Hospital in Tennessee, as well as Cookeville Regional Hospital. A large group of our sisters drove to each hospital to deliver, whether it was just a drive down the road, or driving across the state to Memphis.

Vandy Valentines soon became an annual event that our chapter looks forward to. Throughout the year we do multiple other drives for the children to collect needed items for the hospital, but Vandy Valentines is always one that is extra special to us. We love getting to celebrate and serve the children at each CMN Hospital, and we love getting to honor a friend that was so important to Calista.
